To arrive in Lake Como one of the most used line and the most easy to use, is the Train Line : Milan-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano
So be prepared because there will be some service interruptions in view of the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will be in Milan and Cortina.
Probably buses will be made available on the routes where there will be closures, yet to be verified.
Here the works on the Line :
Milan-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano and Colico-Chiavenna lines
Period 15 June - 14 September 2025
Interruption of service for 90 days + n. 10 interruptions of 72h
+ Calolziocorte-Lecco route: n.1 interruption of 72h period 19 September-21 September 2025
+ Carnate-Lecco route: n.1 interruption of 72h period
+ Lecco Station: Period 15 June - 14 September
Interruption of tracks 4 and 5 for raising platforms and elevators, with limitation of runs in Calolziocorte and cancellations
I know it's during the high season. But you can probably consider using the Milan-Como line .. I know if you have to get to Bellagio or Varenna it's the most inconvenient line, the fast ferries are always full, there's always a long queue at the ticket office in Como.
As soon as there is more information about the buses I will update you.
To get to Bellagio you can always use the bus from Como .. it takes about 1 hour and is faster than the slow ferry that takes almost 2 hours.
